About Aa

Twelve years ago, the Australasian Association was set up with the intention of catering for the diverse student community of Melbourne University. Since then, we have become the largest non-faculty University Society in Victoria, and are renowned for our Annual Ball as well as other great events throughout the year.

The committee, being students ourselves, understand all the stresses of every day University life, and have been chosen to represent the majority, bringing to you events that YOU want. Purely a social club, we aim to stimulate our members' non-academic talents, helping students relax and enjoy their University lives.

Our events are open to both members and non-members from all tertiary institutions so please do not hesitate to get involved!

Aa in 2010: It's your time!

University - reminiscent to most students of early mornings, lecturers with funny accents, running down hallways to late tutes and (to some) accidentally drooling on your neighbour whilst falling asleep in a lecture. Negative connotations aside, university life epitomises the prime of our youth.

Whilst the transition may be daunting for many newcomers, Aa is there to guide you along. Uni life is where most people look back fondly as being the best years of their life, and that is exactly what Aa wants to show you this year.

As T.I. would tell you, 'Live your life (Oh!) Ay Ay Ay', so why not live "your time" with Aa? You won't regret a second of it!

Study Groups

With the majority of new members being first year university students, we will provide study guides for all core first year subjects, and provide a forum in which students can discuss effective methods of study.

Free Food & Discounts

Part of university life is learning how to effectively manage money, and to assist our members, we aim to provide an abundance of discount offers in food, retail and entertainment.

Cold Cures

As winter approaches, we will be providing special Aa umbrellas and tissues to banish the winter blues.

Aa prides itself as being the premium university social club, and we will be constantly finding ways to satisfy and serve our members.
